Snake Headwaters bill supported:

I was glad to learn that U.S. Sen. John Barrasso will continue the work of the late senator Craig Thomas on legislation to protect hundreds of miles of the Snake River and its headwaters under the Federal Wild and Scenic River Act.

Those who live and work in Wyoming, and even those residents of Idaho, should only applaud the work of Sen. Barrasso and his efforts to get this bill to the Senate floor.

The Snake River Headwaters bill can only have positive impact on Wyoming, especially benefiting the small businesses and outfitters. Speak to every single hunting, fishing and river guide and I’m sure they will tell you that this act will only be a help to our already vital tourism economy.

It's true, Wyoming has some of the most spectacular rivers in this country that are not currently protected, but this legislation is not just for protecting these great rivers, its about supporting the people and the economy of Wyoming.

Thank you to Sen. Barrasso!
